From Tools | Options - Database 

  1. Connection Timeout - You can change the timeout value here if the database times out during an import.
  2. Test/Connect to Database Triggers Scaffolding—Checking this option affects how your Database Import works (See Schema Import Wizard). If unchecked, the import process will connect to the database to build a list of the table names without scaffolding the database, which is much faster. The scaffolding will then be done when you move to the next ( final ) page.
